Marking the 300th anniversary of the Japanese department store giant Daimaru, Citizen is slated to launch the Tourbillon Y01 in June. It has been under development since 2014 and this exclusive collection will be limited to only two pieces, available only in Japan at the Daimaru department store as an anniversary special edition.
The watch looks and feels great with a great packing of a traditional-looking case of the Citizen Tourbillon Y01 which is 42mm wide and 12.2mm thick. It is polished 18k white gold with sapphire crystals front and back and the screws are titanium. The dial proudly boasts the Citizen Logo and says it is manufactured and designed in Tokyo. The vertical striping of the movement which is called the Caliber M001-Y01 taht operates at 3Hz (21,600vph), boasts 100 hours of power reserve, and contains 19 jewels.
The watch looks beautiful and the sole 2 pieces that would be available for retail would cost an approx $ 90,000!
