Mr. K. R. Naik
"Honesty is the best policy."
EX: Biggest milestone in your life.
HIM: My first job at IBM in 1969, was one of the best opportunities that I got to learn from, and apply the learning in all my future endeavors. IBM’s closure did impact everyone involved, but I believe it was an opportunity for me to utilize the things I learnt and start my own venture. My major achievement was getting a Taiwan Company to enter into a joint venture without any significant cash reserves and then, seeing my company grow to such heights.
EX: The next product on your tech-wishlist.
HIM: I find Apple products as the most advanced in technology, and always try and buy the next one introduced in the market. I suppose, the next iPhone is definitely on my wish-list.
EX: 3 habits you think are most important in order to be an effective leader.
HIM: An effective leader is someone who lives by example. A true leader sets the ethical standards and tone of his organization by his own behavior. I think effective leaders should be punctual, responsible, sensitive and responsive to others.
EX: Your upcoming career goals
HIM: Manufacturing has always been my passion. I would like to see India become a major manufacturing hub in the near future. My company and I are working towards this goal and hope that others too, support local manufacturing.
