Editor’s Note – October 2016

I am not talking about the iPhone 7 and several more gadgets that got launched, but it was more about our own in-house Tech Fashion Tour 2.0.While other fashion weeks are still curating to make Fashion and Tech walk on the same ramp, we have already gone way ahead inculcating that concept and implying what a beautiful love affair it is. This was the second time we pulled off an event in the same year itself amidst a continuous downpour which took St.Regis, Mumbai, 30km further away from whichever direction you were heading from. Still we had a high decibel TFT 2.0, which witnessed 1500 of Mumbai gliteratti join us to experience the fusion of tech and fashion created by ace fashion designers who brought the best from both the worlds. The spirits were high and we kept it coming and literally brought down the Instagrams of the world. Just punch in these hash tags #TECHKEDUP or #TECHFASHIONTOUR and see the action come alive.Coming back to the biggest launch of the season – yes, the iPhone 7 which happened on 7th September, 2016 when we were busy blending Fashion and Tech. Apple made the fireworks fly high with their latest launch iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. If it wasn’t for TFT 2.0, my feet might have been in Berlin for IFA, one of the biggest tech shows or in Cupertino for the Apple event. Buzz was more about AirPods than it was actually about the much speculated 7th version of the mighty iPhone. Few loved the idea, while more criticism followed its way. However, no one could ignore AirPods and their presence – like always!It’s not the first time that Apple has innovated something that has later become a fad. There are more than 20 (and even more) such instances which Apple did, and the rest of the brands followed and copied those blindly. Turn to page 90-93 (to know what they were) and don’t forget to take a dig at our bucket list of tech indulgences – 54 to be precise.Wait a minute. Much said about everything else. What steals the show is the absolute beauty and style of what graces our cover- one of the most Google-d celebs, the one and only – Sunny Leone. In our attempt to weave a story around this bubbly, clumsy and hardworking diva, we discovered facets of her personality that truly explain why we say that even Google doesn’t know them yet.
