October has been an awaited issue laced with news of what the One Trillion Dollar company has to offer for all its loyalists who can have an Apple for breakfast, lunch, dinner and relish it for the dessert too. But the new launches have failed to ignite the hunger pangs and create a sense of the need to upgrade to the new Apple Devices. We are slowly moving towards a dead end in the smartphone game and just like laptops, there is not much you can do. Things are already at 8GB RAM and high-end processors which our tiny fingers and brain cannot match up to, no matter what task you throw at them, apart from calling that is!

It’s rather ironic but in our own office we had installed 24 Wired telephone lines with cordless devices going back to the wired technology since holding a 10-15 min conversation on any Vodafone, Airtel or Jio networks without call drops is a luxury. In a similar manner, the Saregama caravan speakers have hit gold when they launched their rather unique design with a bank of 5000 old songs pre-synced in it to play without the use of Bluetooth, Wifi streaming or any other external devices. The smartwatch revolution nearly crashed before it could actually take off, so much that when we were thinking of nominations for our upcoming Exhibit Tech Awards and we could not think beyond Apple Series 4 and the Samsung Gear. All this makes me think that retro is back and the adage ‘Old is rather Gold’.

October in 2018 can easily walk away as the flagship month of the year. While the new iPhones are already here, and the Pixel 3, OnePlus 6T coming up, the three big boys are all ready to slug it out while every smartphone geek is waiting to see what they have to offer. In the meanwhile, we are all getting our fashion senses correct for the 4th Season of Tech Fashion Tour coming up on 18th oct and joining us this time is CuteCircuit from London who have pioneered fashion tech and are getting ready to showcase what the future of #fashtech holds.

When you already had an action-packed month before and after and the original action Khiladi – Akshay Kumar joins the party and gives some crazy shots for the making of the grand October issue, things are only shaping up for the better. For the first time in the past 13 years, we had an early morning shoot starting at 6 A.M and the supercharged Akshay Kumar came right on the dot, aced all his shots and humbly shared with us what it takes to be on the top of the world and conquer it all. His Ever Ready enthusiasm for life has charged us for the coming months!

Happy Oktoberfest!
