5 years ago, Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown invented Snapchat. Now, the app has over 300 million monthly active users. Especially after 2014, after Snapchat has added various features like “Geofilters“, “Stories” and “Discover” and cool “Spectacles” glasses, the active users have increased. 1. 35th time is the Success

Snapchat was developed by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown when they studying at Stanford University. They cultivated this idea when they were preparing for their final project. In one of the interviews, Spiegel admitted that they failed almost 34 projects until they finally got their Snapchat.

2. Once upon a time called Picaboo

Snapchat was once called Picaboo, which was an iOSonly app. Picaboo was then named to Snapchat in 2012, post all the rebranding and unveiling the app for Android users as well.

3. 100 Million people use it everyday

The app has more than 100 million users per day. Just imagine, everyday more than 100 Million people use Snapchat to send wacky pictures to their friends.

4. Over 1 Billion snaps everyday

Yes, you read it right. Users snap over 1 billion times in total everyday. We have a lot to share, what to do!

5. More than 400 million Snapchat stories per day

Your snapchat stories, which are in the form of photo, video or a post as part of your “stories” section, only came to life with further developments in 2013. People liked it so much that today, Snapchat has over 400 million Snapchat stories each day!

6. Ghostface Chillah

What is that, we hear you say. Ghostface Chillah is the mascot on the logo of Snapchat that you see the moment you open the app. This is a name that Brown borrowed from Ghostface Killah of the group Wu-Tang Clan.
