Decided in 2012, 20th March is celebrated as the International day of happiness in order to recognise the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world.
This gives us a chance to look at how things are in the world and reflect upon which are the happiest countries to live in. According to the the Annual World Happiness Report by United Nations, Norway has been named as the world’s happiest nation jumping up from fourth place last year, leaving Denmark behind on its way.
